Old Post, but here is an update - Carrier has release a new firmware 4.23, and they have updated the Home app (at least in Android) and this seems to have resolved the connectivity issue. I can now get a live connection to the thermostat, and changes made on the app reflect on the thermostat almost immediately. Vast improvement. 1.. Peg 40

I wish I had seen this sooner. The infinity thermostat has not been great for me. I have the fancy carrier infinity thermostat. It is not worth it. I hate the controls, or lack of controls really. The ability to use a variable fan speed is a lie. The system determines fan speed and mine has never been adjustable. You can set 4 temperatures.
